Dağlık

It is within borders of Güneyköy, 18 km away from the Gazipaşa district. It falls into the borders of region known as Mountainous Kilikya in the Ancient Times. The name of the town comes from Antiochust IV, the king of Kommagene. The ruins are collected on three hills. In the first one is the region consisting of an agora, a bath, a victory line and a church; the second part is the necropolis area having tomb structures unique to Kilikya region; the third part is the ruins of castle built on a sharp rocky area extending to the sea in the west. In the north of the city there is a ruin of a temple whose architectural components are still seen. There is a building having religious functions in apsis of three walls called trikonkhos. The ruins are dated from the Roman, Byzantine and Middle Age Periods.
